INDIANAPOLIS, Feb 02, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Interactive Intelligence (Nasdaq: ININ), a global provider of unified IP business communications solutions, has released a new communications system monitoring product called Interaction Monitor(TM).
Interaction Monitor(TM), an add-on product to the company’s contact center automation and enterprise IP telephony solutions, helps customers improve operational efficiencies and increase reliability by enabling them to remotely monitor and troubleshoot Interactive Intelligence software, hardware and peripheral devices from a single location and interface.
“We place a lot of importance on tools that guarantee reliable service, and Interaction Monitor(TM) has proven to be just such a tool,” said Peter Williams, system administrator for Charlotte, NC-based Red Ventures, an Interactive Intelligence customer since 2003. “The Interaction Monitor(TM) console and interface are so intuitive and easy to use — we literally had the product installed and monitoring within minutes. Right away it began alerting us to a few spans being reset due to errors from our telco, which our old monitoring software missed because it could only perform periodic time checks. This immediate return on investment was a very pleasant surprise.”
Interaction Monitor(TM) will be made available for use by IT departments to monitor the health of their purchased systems and peripherals; by Interactive Intelligence value-added resellers, who service their installed base of customers; and by Interactive Intelligence support staff as part of the company’s managed services and communications-as-a service (CaaS) offerings.
Interaction Monitor(TM) provides user authentication, thus restricting access to monitoring of pre-selected devices. These Interactive Intelligence devices include the company’s Interaction Center Platform(R), Interaction Gateway(TM), Interaction SIP Proxy(TM), and Interaction Media Server(TM), along with third-party gateways and generic devices.
Interaction Monitor(TM) includes a single client interface for remote system monitoring of errors, warnings and failures, along with automated log retrieval. Alerts are sent to administrators via e-mail based on event criticality. Interaction Monitor(TM) can also send alerts via the Web.
Interaction Monitor(TM) is available immediately through the Interactive Intelligence global channel of more than 300 value-added resellers.
